Tortilla Pizza

I woke up today feeling a bit bleugh so for lunch I made this taste sensation. The recipe was introduced to me by my house mate two years ago, it's really light and so delicious. I could probably eat a few in one sitting... The recipe is also great for having friends over as you can whip up all the different toppings and get everyone to customise their own! Maybe add some extra cheeky ones like pesto or ham? I want to have a pizza party now! Anyway here is what I used on mine:

One granary tortilla wrap
Half a red onion cut into wedges
Two mushrooms sliced
A small handful of black olives
4 Anchovy fillets cut into small pieces
A pile of grated Cheshire cheese
One tablespoon of creme fraiche

The method couldn't be simpler! Fry the onions and mushrooms until they are just beginning to brown and get all nice and juicy. Then spread the tortilla wrap with an even layer of creme fraiche and pile ingredients on top as you wish. Place in a pre-heated oven for 15ish minutes at 170C, making sure you keep a watchful eye on it to ensure the edges don't burn! Then cut that bad boy up and get it inside you. So sexy. I had mine with a nice cup of peppermint tea :). If anyone has any other topping suggestions I'd love to hear them!

On the Farm

Last weekend my cousin Chloe and I went to Church Farm in Woodnesborough near Sandwich to make a film about Rhubarb for a project I'm doing on seasonal eating. I was extremely lucky to have Gregory as a contact as not only does his family own a farm, he studies sound design so was able to help me record the interview for my piece! To see (well, hear) his work visit his website: www.thesoundfarmer.com. Chloe said that in my outfit I looked like a farmers daughter, I like to call it Agricultural Chic. We got some really lovely shots and I can't wait to get editing!

Picnic

Picnics are far more fun with the kiddos in tow. A couple of weeks ago my sister and I went to Camer Park with Charlotte, Rebekah and her two cuties, Phoebe and Noah. It was such a great day, I can't believe how sunny March has been.

Sandwich Bay

Last week after a day working at my Dad's office he took me on a walk to Sandwich Bay, it was so peaceful and untouched. It's my new favourite place I think.

This is such a nice song

Don't you think?

Spontaneous Seaside

On Sunday I celebrated my Aunt's 44th Birthday with family and friends. The next morning we were all suffering (some more than others, red wine and cider are not a good mix for future reference) but it was such a beautiful day that we didn't want to waste it in a pit of despair on the sofa. Instead we jumped in the car and went to Whitstable for some seaside sunshine and it was lovely. We ended up in a hidden gem of a restaurant for a delicious roast dinner which is always a great cure for self inflicted 'illness'. My Aunt Emma is the one carrying the pint of pickled eggs... (Not such a good hangover cure incase you were wondering.)
